Pickles
Ingredients
8 cups cucumber slices (2 quarts)
1 1/2 Tbsp salt
1 cup onions sliced
1 cup celery
1 cup green peppers
2 cups sugar
1 cup vinegar
1 tsp celery seed
Instructions
- Soak vegetables with salt 1 1/2 hours to overnight
- Drain vegetables
- Boil sugar and vinegar together
- Pour over vegetables, adding celery seed, and mix well

Dill onions
Sliced cucumbers
1 cup sugar
1 cup white vinegar
1 Tbsp pickling salt
Instructions
- Put in jar dill onions & sliced cukes
- Make brine
- Boil sugar, vinegar and pickling salt together, then pour over pickles
- Seal and put in water bath, and bring to a boil
